Oh that Dollar Tree

And the Dollar Tree plaque has been turned into a painting!

Here's a Before:

and a closeup of after: Oil painting
5.5" x 5.5"
This above is my version from the original Frederic Remington version which I have put here for your comparison below.... Think I might have to go get some more of these hardboard plaques. They are a perfect size. Only took two days three days to finish this painting.

I'm still here, but I'm on the other side....

the sketchy side that is....
Hey all! I'm still here, I've just been obsessed with my sketching and painting. My hubby is getting me a drawing table for my birthday. I'm so excited! I can fill it up with all my crap, I mean craft-y stuff.
I haven't finished my Kreative idea from the kitchen yet. Summer time is so hard for me to get things done in this neighborhood. We all love to sit out and watch our kids play or head to the community pool. Not to mention all the other running around or household chores I gotta do. Most of the time I find I only have time (for myself to sit out with my sketch journal and draw away the summer days) while watching the kiddies play!
I do like to do the art challenges that are on my other blog
Come and check it out!
Stay tuned... the crafty part of me is here and will probably rear it's head when the kiddies get back to school.

Seriously-I'm gonna alter this book!

Remember my aversion to wrecking precious books. I found the perfect one to wreck and I'm doing this with others. "The Next Chapter" is starting this book club with an awesome book called "Wreck this Journal". You get to do exactly what it says. Click here for more details! This is going to be sooooo much fun, and help to get out of my book shell, ha!

Each week you can talk, show off, write, etc. all about your experience with this book. I'm so excited to try this adventure in a creative form of being creative, hee. I will put my progress and thoughts on my other website for sure. I haven't decided if I'll put all my posts on here yet.... We'll see where it takes me, hope you can join, it will be good for you!
A creative outlet! A place to try a new creative zone. Create, wreck, and find the kid in you....ha!

Following the Masters

Walking on the beachWatercolor
I am having so much fun rediscovering my "artist" side. Painting, sketching, etc. I have tried the challenge #2. If anyone would like to try it here is the website. Or followingthemasters.blogspot.com
