Paper Craft Box

I'm so proud of myself. I made this in about 45 minutes! (The box)

Holly McMillen has some great tutorials on how to make these boxes and other similar desk accessories. I followed her simple and well said steps with pictures. I modified slightly by adding a handle of ribbon to the top instead of a strip of paper to the sides like she has. I love love love paper crafting items for walls, desks, and other decor items. If I don't have time to do a full page for scrapbooking I like to do a quick "other" that is fast and can be used daily.

I got my Archivers coupon today... very dangerous, ha ha ha!!!!!

Well, it's more evening than afternoon but here is the pics from my Dollar Tree find! It went up very easy, this wall is flat white, the green matches an accent wall that's painted in the same room. The hard part was the measuring, making sure how close to put the two squares on each row, making sure all was even. I can't stand measuring. I'm impatient I just want to slap it up there. But of course that wouldn't have looked so good and really there wasn't a lot of measuring.... Now, the other sticker set I got are all single letters that I'll have to measure each letter. And get Hubby's laser level out...That's gonna take a lot more time... Time that I'll have to tackle on a weekend! Whew! ha!

This is the last week for January Re-organization Resolutions. I am constantly seeking organizational items that keep me organized and that I actually use daily or weekly! Dormbuys.com has a lot of organization items for a very cheap price! I love this Magazine/Book etc. holder! It's on clearance for 15.49, got to order that! There are some neat dry erase stickers and dry erase wall paper squares for your wall. On a different note, I'm still stitching away on my February Sampler. But I have been itching to Paper Craft a few things I've been seeing on some of these wonderful blog tutorials! One favorite is: Toyzhaven.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com
I got one of my Dollar store wall stickers up, I'll get some pics and try to get those on here tomorrow afternoon.
We are to have a good snow here so I'm hoping to not have to go anywhere for a couple days, (wishful thinking!) Ok, here I go to crafty something since the kiddies are in bed and it's not my bed time.....yet.......

Valentine Door project

Well, I have been addicted to Thrifty Decor Chicks blog! Such awesome ideas! I HAD to do her "Valentines Quickie" idea! You have to check her out if you haven't already. http://thriftydecorchick.blogspot.com/
Woop Woop Girl! Thanks for the inspiration and motivation! Here's my results:

And, I'm working on this cutie from http://www.pinemtndesigns.com/ These are so fun, fast and easy!
While doing this and trying to take care of two busy boys I'm trying to get my bedroom project done. I painted canvases but needed something else. So I will have to finish that before I get those photos on here. (Need to clean my bedroom before those pics show, ha)
I found these lovelies at the Dollar Tree! (Cheap version of Uppercase Living...) They're stickers that are translucent, and are suppose to blend with any wall color.

These will be going up somewhere in my bedroom and one in my guest bedroom. I figured for the price they will doll up my walls nice and if they don't last long then I won't be too disappointed. Has anyone tried these?
Ok, off I go to craft, create and well, bathe the kiddies.... Off I go! 'Till next time!

January is always an inspiration filled month. Trying to start that resolution we made be it, health, organizing your home, starting and finishing is hard to do. I know that first hand, admittedly I can be lazy about it all too. (Did I just type that in here?) I have been inspired by my Grandma and Mother to get cracking on a stitchery project. I chose to start off small and pick a small project. A project I knew could be done in a week or two. With two boys (three including my husband, ha!)I can't work on a project all day. (no matter how much I want to...)

AHH- instant gratification!
In my opinion:

www.pinemtndesigns.com has very cute looking patterns and kits.

http://www.threadsthatbindonline.com/ has beautiful Punchneedle kits and patterns and so much more.
I am very into embroidery and Punchneedle this month. Next month ya never know, I may feel inspired by home decor. I will share with you photos of projects and other inspiring ideas as I learn the blogging experience. I hope you will check back and feel inspired also.

Welcome to Kaye's Korner!
I hope you will find inspiration along with me!
