EEK! Halloweeeeeeen!

EEK! Here comes Halloween!
I wanted to get this to you earlier but I just didn't get my butt in gear and hubby took the camera, excuses, excuses...... Anyway, as I mention I got this idea from the Great and Talented Thrifty Decor Chick!
My husband cut these blocks of wood for my kids to stack and play with, there was soooo much of it that I have taken some outta the bucket here and there. I grabbed the blocks, some Halloween scrap paper, decoupage glue, and my scissors. I then printed big black font letters from the computer. I glued the letters on chipboard and cut it out of the chipboard.
And the result:

Halloween easy ideas

These are just toooo cute. If I was a "Room Mom" I'd probably suggest these cute and easy white paper bag ghosts puppets!
Martha and Co.
And the Vanilla Ghost-y shakes! Kids can make these also! Glue felt on plastic cups or those squishy eyes that you can buy at the store to put in windows! They can be put on glass cups!

and when your done, they can go back on the window!!

Next project I'm going to try- one of the many AWESOME ideas from Thrifty Decor Chick, come back tomorrow, (I'm waiting for the glue to dry) and check it out!

'Kins all in a row

Hi! Long time, no post! Oop!
Before it gets too late in the season, I had these cuuuute pumpkins that have lasted me years, that I wanted to show you! Family Fun magazine reminded me I had them! These are soooo easy! A needle, some thread and a circle of fabric. The stumps and leaves are free if you do a nature walk! LOL! This month FF mag has directions and other ideas for fabrics on how to make these cute 'kins. Click here to see their version.
I added silk autumn leaves to the stumps of my pumpkins. I'm going to have to try the fuzzy fabric kind. These below, are larger versions of the fabric pumpkins. Jute and raffia were used to decorate these and felt leaves that have sewn accents on each leaf. Here's a little bit of a closeup. As you can see the stumps are from actual pumpkins, just hot glued on. After the jute string was cinched to make the pumpkin detail and tied on the bottom a small green felt circle was hot glued to cover the knot of the string.

And for a bit of HALLOWEEN spooky, creepy, crawly-ness... I give you the Orb Spider that was successful in building his "Orbed" web in my pampas grass!!!!!!! Ewwww!!!!! He was huge!!!!! This is 15 feet off the ground hanging there in the breeze.... g'luck big guy......
