1.00 Homemade Book

Here's the first of my foam board books! Whew! It is taking awhile to tackle, as I knew it would, cut, tape, glue, wait......

I got one sheet of foam board at the Dollar Tree. Athletic Tape at Target for 2.79. Sheet protector with pockets 25cents- Achievers.

This (below) is the foam board before paper... Tip: use a rotary cutter-cuts more smoothly

1 1/2"cuts in the middle (that took an effort of my baaaaad math skills!)

Another tip: don't use real map paper- it isn't real bendable!

I think I can make it work. And the front will definitely not look the same.... I was going for a "travel" look but since we aren't going to China (which is what's on the map) it will be changed up a bit, I'm thinking vellum or somethin'.

With this (below) I used actual card stock patterned paper, and I used athletic/cloth tape on the inside and outside. (It's required on the inside, I just didn't take a picture of that experiment, ha!)
OK, wish me luck on starting the innards of these! It is a fun challenge!
